Thin Lizzy Star Gary Moore 'Died Of Heart Attack'

February 8, 2011
Thin Lizzy Star Gary Moore 'Died Of Heart Attack'Thin Lizzy star Gary Moore died of a heart attack, an initial post-mortem has indicated.

The 58-year-old guitarist was found dead at a hotel in the Costa Del Sol, Spain on Sunday (February 6).

Police are still awaiting the results of toxicology tests but are not treating the death as suspicious, reports BBC News.

Moore made his name in Thin Lizzy before launching a successful solo career. He was also still actively touring.

Tributes have been paid from across the music world, including by Sir Bob Geldof, who called the guitarist, "without question, one of the great Irish bluesmen".
