Bon Jovi To Receive Global Icon Award At MTV EMAs 2010Bon Jovi are set to receive a Global Icon award at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) next month, it's been announced.

The band, who are the inaugural winners, will perform at the ceremony in Madrid on November 7.

Bruce Gillmer, executive vice president of music and talent at MTV Networks International, described Bon Jovi as "one of the most beloved and influential rock bands of all time”.

The 17th annual EMAs take place at Caja Magica and will be hosted by Hollywood actress Eva Longoria.

Lady Gaga and Katy Perry both have four nominations, including nods for Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song.

Plan B, Shakira, Katy Perry, Kid Rock, Kings Of Leon and Linkin Park are already among the acts scheduled to perform.
