The Orb To Release New Album With Pink Floyd's David Gilmour

August 18, 2010
The Orb To Release New Album With Pink Floyd's David GilmourThe Orb are to release a new studio album featuring Pink Floyd star David Gilmour, it's been announced.

The LP, entitled 'Metallic Spheres', will be released on October 4 in the UK.

The collaborative album came together after the two acts worked together on a version of Graham Nash’s 'Chicago' with producer Youth for a charity project.

'Metallic Spheres' is designed to be listened to in two parts: ‘Metallic Side’ and ‘Spheres Side’. It will be available on CD, 2 CD, digital-download and Double LP.

The album features artwork by The Orb's long-time visuals designer Simon Ghahary.

Meanwhile, The Orb are due to announce a series of special 'Metallic Spheres' laser light shows, which will be shown to the public in New York and Los Angeles in October.
