Coldplay New Album Not Being Released In OctoberMarch 7, 2011
Coldplay have played down reports that their new album is set to be released in October.
The apparent release schedule for the Brian Eno and Markus Dravs-produced effort was published at the end of last month by the Madrid-based, Europa Press. But a spokesperson for Coldplay told MTV News that the date was not true. "A release date has not yet been set for Coldplay's next studio album,” they added. The as-yet-untitled album will be the follow-up to 2008’s ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends’. Coldplay are set to headline this year’s Glastonbury festival, as well as perform at a host of other European festivals this summer.
