U2 Crowned Biggest Earning Music Act In 2009 Ahead Of Bruce SpringsteenMarch 1, 2010
U2 were the biggest earning music act in America in 2009, beating the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Madonna.
The Irish band made a total of $109million from record sales, royalties and their 360 Degree tour. Springsteen banked $58million, while Madonna earned $47million in 2009, according to Billboard. Coldplay were the biggest earning British act on the list at number eight with $27million. Other acts on the countdown included Pink, Britney Spears and the late Michael Jackson, who grossed $17.3 million.
