Duran Duran Accuse Madonna Of Copying Their IdeasJune 11, 2008
Duran Duran bassist John Taylor has accused Madonna of copying their ideas by installing Justin Timberlake and Timbaland as producers on her new album, 'Hard Candy'.
It's the same partnership that worked on Duran Duran's 2007 album 'Red Carpet Massacre', which entered the UK charts at number 44. Taylor said that he wasn't surprised to see Madonna employ both artists but claimed it was their idea. “It wouldn’t be the first time Madonna’s copied us. She’s been doing it for years,” he told the Daily Star. Taylor also revealed that Arctic Monkeys bassist Matt Helders has remixed their new song 'Skin Divers', which is out soon. “I spoke to him and he really wanted to play drums on our track so that’s what he’s done. He’s a nice lad, knows his stuff,” Taylor said. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Duran Duran To Play Intimate London Gig In March (21.02.2011)
