Jeff Buckley Movie Biopic Still Going Ahead

April 11, 2011
Jeff Buckley Movie Biopic Still Going AheadA music biopic about late singer Jeff Buckley is still going ahead, it has been reported.

The as-yet-untitled film will tell the story of Buckley's life. The singer drowned in 1997 in Memphis aged 30.

'Welcome To The Rileys' director Jake Scott will direct the Ryan Jaffe script, best known for the 2008 comedy The Rocker, reports Deadline.

127 Hours star James Franco and James Marsden have been linked to play the lead role.

Also Twilight star Robert Pattinson a keen music fan is said to be "obsessed" with securing the role.

The as-yet-untitled biopic is set to begin production by the end of the year.
