Prince, Coldplay, U2 To Headline Glastonbury 2011?October 22, 2010
Prince, U2 and Coldplay are being targeted by organisers to headline next year’s Glastonbury festival, according to reports.
Prince and U2 have apparently already confirmed their appearance, while Coldplay are in final negotiations. Organiser Michael Eavis is said to be “over the moon” to have secured each act. “He is a huge fan of Prince and has been trying to nab him for years,” a source told The Sun. "The fact it's been tied up so quickly is a big but welcome shock." Both Coldplay and U2 are due to release new albums in 2011, while Prince recently announced details of a Welcome To America tour. Eavis recently claimed that all three headliners for next year’s festival had already been book. Tickets for the festival, which runs from June 22-26, sold out in less than four hours earlier this month. (by Jason Gregory) See also: U2 Promise 'Glastonbury On Steroids' Performance (28.04.2011)
