Beastie Boys To Release New Album In Spring 2011

October 20, 2010
Beastie Boys To Release New Album In Spring 2011Beastie Boys are set to release their new album next year, it's been announced.

The group said 'Hot Sauce Committee Part 2' was due in the spring but that Part 1 had been delayed.

"Although we regret to inform you that 'Hot Sauce Committee Part 1' will continue to be delayed indefinitely, 'Hot Sauce Committee Part 2' will be release on time as originally planned in Spring of 2011,” the band said.

The first instalment of the two-part record was due to arrive last year, but was delayed after rapper Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer.

Yauch – also known as MCA – was forced to undergo surgery and extensive treatment to remove the tumour in his left salivary gland.

In March, the rapper said he had responded well to treatment and was looking forward to returning to the group.
