Roger Waters: 'Live 8 Was Probably The End For Pink Floyd'May 27, 2010
Roger Waters has conceded that Pink Floyd’s performance at Live 8 in 2005 was “probably” their last.
The group reunited for the first time in 24 years especially for the benefit concert in London. In an interview with the BBC, Waters said the group had been asked to perform together again since, but that bandmate David Gilmour had declined. "I think Live 8 was probably it," he said. "And Live 8 was so beautiful, and Rick [Wright, who died in 2008] obviously was still with us then." "If that's the way we draw a line under Pink Floyd, so be it. I won't be unhappy about that." As previously reported, Waters is set to tour the band’s iconic album ‘The Wall’ across the US this summer. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Pink Floyd To Reunite? (21.03.2011)
