Depeche Mode Live At London's O2 Arena - Report

February 22, 2010
Depeche Mode Live At London's O2 Arena - ReportDepeche Mode played the final London date of their 'Tour Of The Universe' at the weekend and closed things in spectacular style.

The show followed the band's triumphant Teenage Cancer Trust performance at the Royal Albert Hall last week which saw them reunite with their former keyboard player, Alan Wilder, for the first time in 15 years.

Saturday's sold-out show at the O2 was originally scheduled to take place on May 30th last year but had to be postponed when singer Dave Gahan fell ill and had to have a tumour removed from his bladder.

The band played two sold-out shows at the O2 in December last year, but ticket holders for the postponed May date had to wait until Saturday to see the band perform. Fortunately it was worth the wait.

Saturday's concert featured material from the band's latest album 'Sound of the Universe' as well as a selection of fan favourites and some of their greatest hits.

The full set-list was as follows:

  1. In Chains
  2. Wrong
  3. Hole To Feed
  4. Walking In My Shoes
  5. It's No Good
  6. A Question Of Time
  7. Precious
  8. World In My Eyes
  9. Freelove (sung by Martin)
  10. Home
  11. Miles Away / The Truth Is
  12. Policy Of Truth
  13. In Your Room
  14. I Feel You
  15. Enjoy The Silence
  16. Never Let Me Down Again

  17. A Question Of Lust
  18. Stripped
  19. Behind The Wheel
  20. Personal Jesus
