Ronnie Wood: Killers, Kings Of Leon Upholding Rolling Stones LegacyJanuary 13, 2011
Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has said he believes The Killers and Kings Of Leon are maintaining the band’s rock n’ roll spirit.
Wood admitted told Shortlist magazine he was confident the band’s legacy would continue for years to come through current acts. “The spirit still lives on in bands such as The Killers and Kings Of Leon. There’s a germ of it still there,” he said. Wood went on to reveal that he listened to “a lot of modern stuff”, and said he was a big fan of Regina Spektor. The guitarist also spoke about his relationship with the rest of his bandmates and revealed that he hadn't read Keith Richards recent autobiography, Life. The guitarist hosts The Ronnie Wood Show on radio station Absolute Classic Rock, Monday-Thursday at 4pm. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Kings Of Leon 'Excited' For Talihina Sky Premiere (21.04.2011)
