David Bowie Denies Glastonbury Headline RumoursNovember 30, 2009
![]() On Saturday, the Daily Mail reported that organisers had formally approached the singer about performing at the event’s 40th anniversary. However, in a statement on his website, Bowie said: “Sadly, there is absolutely no substance to this story.” The star's response appeared under the headline: “Rumours and lies and stories they made up...Part 386.” Famed as a musical innovator, Bowie has not played a full concert for six years following a heart scare. U2 are so far the only confirmed headliners for next year’s Glastonbury festival, which runs from June 25-27. (by Jason Gregory) See also: |
