The Beatles, Prince Nominated To Enter Grammy Hall of FameDecember 10, 2010
The Beatles and Prince have been nominated to enter the Grammy Hall Of Fame, it has been revealed.
The Beatles' ‘Penny Lane’ and Prince’s 1984 hit ‘Purple Rain’, have been nominated as well as Otis Redding's 'I've Been Loving You Too Long' and Ray Charles's 'Genius + Soul = Jazz'. "The Grammy Hall Of Fame represents all genres of music, acknowledging the diversity of musical expression for which The Academy has become renowned," said Neil Portnow, CEO of The Recording Academy. The winners will be announced at the Grammy Awards on February 13. Meanwhile, Eminem is on course to dominate next year's Grammy Awards after picking up ten nominations.
