Adele On Course To Extend Album Chart Reign With '21'April 27, 2011
Adele is set to continue her album chart reign with a thirteenth week at number one this weekend.
The singer's second album '21' has only spent one week off the top spot since it's release back in January. As previously reported, Adele's album now boasts the most consecutive weeks at number one for a solo artist's studio album in chart history. The only other solo artist to spend longer at number one on the album chart is Phil Collins with 1989's 'But Seriously'. Meanwhile, The Wombats' new album 'This Modern Glitch' is the highest new entry in this week's album chart. In the singles chart, Beyonce's new single 'Run The World (Girls)' is a new entry along with Nero's 'Guilt'. (by Holly Frith) See also: Adele: I Love Prince William And Kate Middleton (28.04.2011)
