Carl Barat: The Libertines Reunion Gigs Were 'Beyond Words'September 3, 2010
The Libertines' Carl Barat has described the reaction to the band's recent reunion gigs as “beyond words”.
The group split in 2004 but reunited earlier this year to play last month's Reading and Leeds festivals. Barat, Pete Doherty, John Hassall and Gary Powell also performed two special gigs at the Forum in London. “It has been truly beyond words and I couldn't have been happier with your response,” Barat said. “I am predictably exhausted but exhilarated and so glad to have been a part of it once more.” Meanwhile, Barat is currently preparing to release his self-titled debut solo album, which is due out in October.
