Bruce Springsteen Shows Glastonbury Festival Who's Boss

June 28, 2009
Bruce Springsteen Shows Glastonbury Festival Who's BossBruce Springsteen wowed fans in Somerset last night with a mammoth headlining set at the Glastonbury festival.

The American musician - also known as The Boss - played for two-and-a-half hours on the Pyramid stage.

Springsteen’s set spanned his career, including the hits ‘No Surrender’, ‘Born To Run’ and ‘Dancing In The Dark’.

But the singer also ensured that the performance focused on his latest album ‘Working On A Dream’.

Springsteen also performed a moving acoustic cover of The Clash’s Joe Strummer’s song, ‘Coma Girl’.

Glastonbury marked the first time Springsteen had headlined a festival in the UK.

Earlier in the day he made a special appearance alongside fellow New Jersey act The Gaslight Anthem on the John Peel stage.

He is also due to perform at Hard Rock Calling in London’s Hyde Park tonight.

As previously reported, Glastonbury’s Friday headliner Neil Young performed at the event last night.

He was joined at the end of his performance in London by Sir Paul McCartney, who sang The Beatles’ ‘A Day In The Life’.

The Glastonbury festival concludes today with a headline performance from the recently reunited Blur.
