Kanye West Coachella Performance 'One Of The Greatest Ever'

April 19, 2011
Kanye West Coachella Performance 'One Of The Greatest Ever'Kanye West's performance at last weekend's Coachella Festival in California has been praised by critics.

West's headline set on Sunday (April 17) was dedicated to his late mother and included songs from his entire career.

The Hollywood Reporter described the rapper's performance as a "grandiose, theatrical performance destined to be remembered as one of the great hip-hop sets of all time".

CBS News said West "blew the doors off" the festival, while The Los Angeles Times said he provided a "captivating" spectacle and "a festival performance unlike any other".

During his performance at Coachella, West called the gig his "most important show" since his mother died suddenly in 2007.

Arcade Fire and Kings Of Leon also headlined the festival.
