Bruce Springsteen Releases Free Halloween Treat For FansOctober 31, 2008
Bruce Spingsteen has released a special song on his website to coincide with Halloween.
Springsteen said the song, entitled 'A Night With The Jersey', was “a little Halloween treat” for fans. “If you grew up in central or south Jersey, you grew up with the ‘Jersey Devil',” Springsteen wrote. The origins of the Jersey Devil, a mythical figure who haunts New Jersey's Pince Barrens region, are believed to date back to the 1800s. A previously reported, Springsteen was forced to cancel his annual Halloween celebrations today due to past “catastrophic success”. Springsteen and his wife, Patti, have traditionally decorated their house in Rumson, New Jersey for local residents. However, this year's event was cancelled because his local neighbourhood could no longer handle the number of visitors they attracted.
