Sam Lufti's Britney Spears Restraining Order ExtendedApril 17, 2008
Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lufti has been told by a court to stay away from the troubled singer until the end of July.
The original restraining order in February ordered Lufti to not go near Britney for three months. Lawyers of both Lufti and Spears agreed to extend this further. Michael Sands, Lufti’s lawyer, said: "Sam and the family are co-operating and trying to do what's best." As part of the order, Lufti is not allowed to go within 250 yards of Britney or have any direct contact with her. Earlier in the year, Britney’s mother Lynne accused Lufti of controlling her daughter’s life and of drugging the pop star. Britney’s father James is in control of all her business affairs.
