Britney Spears Denies Boyfriend Abused Her

Britney Spears has denied reports that her agent and boyfriend Jason Trawick assaulted her.

US magazine Star ran a story on its front page this week with the headline: “Jason Beat Me Up.”

An alleged audio recording also surfaced, which purportedly contained a conversation between Spears and her first husband Jason Alexander, during which she apparently said Trawick had abused her.

Responding to the claims, a statement on Spears' website said: "Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney.

"The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr Alexander in years."

Spears' manager Andrew Wallet also told gossip website TMZ that the reports were “completely and utterly false”.

Meanwhile, Spears is currently recording her new album.
