Young Knives Make Their Retun At One-Off London GigFebruary 10, 2011
The Young Knives played an impressive set at a one-off gig in London last night (February 9).
The three piece took to the stage at the Garage to showcase material from their new album "Ornaments From the Silver Arcade". At a gig that was promoting music’s next big thing, you would have thought that the Young Knives, who released their first EP back in 2002, wouldn't qualify. But, following support from one of 2011's hotly tipped bands The Chapman Family, the Young Knives seemed ready to prove that this will finally be their year. The group opened their set with fan favourite 'Terra Firma', taken from 2008's "Superabundance", before playing 'Love My Name' and 'Sister Frideswide' from their new album. Throughout the show the band joked with the audience about how long they had been doing the music thing for. The band ended their set with 'Dialling' and 'Turn Tail'.
