X Factor Finalists, Take That Maintain Control Of UK ChartsDecember 1, 2010
The X Factor finalists are on course to remain at number one on the UK singles chart this week.
The talent show hopefuls' cover of 'Heroes' by David Bowie is currently outselling nearest rival, Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger's solo single 'Poison'. Proceeds from the song are going towards the Help For Heroes charity, which helps British troops. Current top-10 songs by Rihanna and Ellie Goulding, who has covered Elton John's 'Your Song', are also performing well, according to the Official Charts Company. Meanwhile, in the album chart, Take That look set to remain at number one for a third week with 'Progress'. Their first album in 15 years with Robbie Williams has proved to be a huge seller, while Duffy's new album 'Endlessly' is set for a top-5 debut.
