Blur Announce Two Intimate Club ShowsApril 17, 2009
Blur are set to warm up for their huge summer shows with a pair of more intimate club shows which will raise money for various charities.
The newly reformed band will return to the venue where they played their first ever gig, the East Anglian Railway Museum, on June 13. Revenue from the gig will go to the museum and the Aldham Village Hall Restoration Project. On June 22 they will then play London's Goldsmith College with proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Alex James and Graham Coxon are both former alumni of the college. Blur announced the details to their fan club this morning and tickets are available from their official website blur.co.uk. The shows come ahead of the band's previously announced shows at Manchester's MEN Arena and Hyde Park in London plus their festival appearances at Glastonbury, Oxegen and T in the Park.
