Blink-182's Travis Barker Settles 2008 Plane Crash LawsuitDecember 9, 2009
Travis Barker, drummer of Blink-182, has settled his lawsuit with the companies connected to a plane crash in South Carolina last year.
Barker was one of two survivors of the September 2008 crash, which left four dead. DJ AM, who also survived, has since died of an accidental drugs overdose. The drummer claimed in his lawsuit that the aircraft had been improperly operated and maintained. Learjet and the plane's owners Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co were among the companies listed in the legal action. Barker's attorney Walter Lack confirmed a settlement had been reached but declined to comment on the terms, reports Associated Press. Barker's assistant, Chris Baker, and bodyguard, Charles Still also died when the Learjet careered off a runway in Columbia during take off.
