Black Eyed Peas Top UK And US Singles ChartsAugust 3, 2009
Black Eyed Peas have topped the UK singles chart with 'I Gotta Feeling', matching their same accomplishment in the US.
The song, which is the second single from the hip-hop group's new album 'The END', climbed from number three last week. 'I Gotta Feeling' is also currently spending its fifth week on top of the US Billboard chart. Black Eyed Peas have now topped the chart for the last 17 weeks after previous single 'Boom Boom Pow' spent eleven weeks at number one. Elsewhere on the UK singles chart, former X Factor boy band JLS fell one place to number two, while 'Supernova' by Mr. Hudson is at three. On the album chart, Michael Jackson retained his dominance, holding onto the top spot with 'The Essential' compilation.
