The Charlatans, The Coral Join Edinburgh Hogmanay Celebrations

November 9, 2010
The Charlatans, The Coral Join Edinburgh Hogmanay CelebrationsThe Charlatans and The Coral have been added to the line-up for this year’s Hogmanay concert in Edinburgh, it’s been announced.

The bands will join previously announced headliners Biffy Clyro at the Concert In The Gardens on December 31.

Members of Kaiser Chiefs and Goldie Lookin Chain are also set to DJ in the Scottish city.

Meanwhile, organisers have also announced details of a “resolution day” concert, which will take place on New Years Day (January 1).

The gig will feature Scottish acts, with headliner KT Tunstall being joined by King Creosote, Silver Columns and Kassidy.

Steve Cardownie, of Edinburgh City Council, said "When people think of Hogmanay, they think of Edinburgh, quite simply, nowhere does it better."

In previous years, the Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh have featured performances from the likes of Groove Armada and Kasabian.
