Muse Get Glastonbury Chart Boost As Scissor Sisters Take On EminemJune 29, 2010
Muse are set to return to the top-10 on the UK album chart this week following their headline set at the Glastonbury festival last weekend.
The band's triumphant performance has boosted sales of 'The Resistance', which originally debuted at number one last September. Albums by fellow Glastonbury headliners Gorillaz and Stevie Wonder are also expected to climb back up the charts, according to Music Week. Meanwhile, current number one Eminem is facing a challenge from Scissor Sisters at the top of the countdown. 'Recovery' has already sold 20,000 copies this week, but is only narrowly ahead of the US band's third album 'Night Work'. In the singles chart, Katy Perry is expected to hang on to the top spot for a second week with 'California Gurls'.
