Michael Jackson And Jackson 5 To Stage 2009 Reunion TourOctober 30, 2008
Michael Jackson and the remaining members of the Jackson 5 will embark on a tour together next year, it's been announced.
Jackson's brother, Jermaine, said the tour would also include their sister, Janet, as a support act. "And of course, the original Jackson 5... Michael, Randy and the whole family... we're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year," he told the Associated Press. Despite numerous hints over the years, a full scale reunion of the group, whose hits include 'ABC' and 'I Want You Back', has never taken place. However, Jermaine seemed optimistic that 2009 would be the year. "This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together," he said. The news comes just days after Jackson apparently told a fan that he would embark on a 30 date solo tour next year. Jackson hasn’t toured since he was cleared of child molestation charges in 2005.
