Wild Beasts Bring Sunshine To Reading Festival 2010

August 30, 2010
Wild Beasts Bring Sunshine To Reading Festival 2010Wild Beasts brought the sunshine as they played the Reading festival on Sunday (August 29).

The Kendal band performed an enchanting set on the NME/Radio 1 stage this afternoon.

Their appearance came immediately after a heavy rain shower had left hundreds of festival-goers running for cover.

Consequently, Wild Beasts were greeted by a large crowd as they began their set with traditional opener ‘The Fun Power Plot’.

Singer and multi-instrumentalists Hayden Thorpe and Tom Fleming also swapped vocals and instruments for ‘All The Kings Men’, ‘This Is Our Lot’ and ‘We Still Got The Taste Dancin’ On our Tongues’.

Before ‘The Devil's Crayon’, Fleming also paid tribute to the crowd for staying to watch the band after the sun had come out.

“Jesus, I don’t know what to say,” he said. “The sun’s out now and you’re all still here.”

Wild Beasts ended their nine-song set with ‘Hooting And Howling’.

Wild Beasts played:

  1. The Fun Powder Plot
  2. This Is Our Lot
  3. All The King’s Men
  4. Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants
  5. Two Dancers
  6. Words
  7. We Still Got The Taste Dancin’ On Our Tongues
  8. The Devil's Crayon
  9. Hooting And Howling
