50 Cent Donates Colonel Gaddafi Gig Fee To UnicefMarch 10, 2011
50 Cent has donated the fee he received for playing a private gig for members of Colonel Gaddafi's family to the charity Unicef.
The rapper, who performed for the clan in Venice in 2005, is the latest big name star to donate their fee to charity. It comes amid ongoing tensions in Libya and calls for Colonel Gaddafi to step down. Beyonce, Nelly Furtado and Usher have also donated their fees to good causes. "In light of the ongoing events in Libya, 50 Cent will be making a donation to Unicef, which is providing vital relief supplies to meet the needs of women and children at risk during this crisis,” a spokesperson said.
