Amy Winehouse 'Covered In Nicotine Patches'June 26, 2008
Amy Winehouse has begun wearing nicotine patches in a bid to give up smoking, its been reported.
The singer, who was recently diagnosed with traces of the lung disease emphysema, has been warned that she faces long term damage if she continues to use the drug. According to a report in today's Mirror, Winehouse has finally heeded the advice of doctors, with a little encouragement from her father, Mitch. "She's covered herself in nicotine patches as she's desperate to preserve her voice and is promising to clean up her act,” an unnamed source told the newspaper. Winehouse, who was rushed into hospital last week after fainting at her North London home, is due to perform at the Nelson Mandela concert in London tomorrow. The singer will join Leona Lewis and Razorlight at the event before heading to Somerset to play the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday (June 28th).
