Amy Winehouse Dedicates BRITs Performance To Jailed HusbandFebruary 21, 2008
Amy Winehouse dedicated her performance at last nights BRIT Awards to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.
Fielder-Civil is currently being held in Pentonville Prison on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. Winehouse, who was making her first public appearance since leaving rehab two weeks ago, stunned crowds as she sang two songs. The singer’s first appearance of the night was during a Mark Ronson medley, where she sang a cover of The Zutons’ ‘Valerie’. Winehouse then returned later in the evening to perform her own song, ‘Love Is A Losing Game’, which she ended by mouthing the words “I love you” to her husband. The singer wasn’t actually nominated for any awards at last nights ceremony but her attendance was designed to show that her recent spell in rehab had been successful.
