Amy Winehouse Record Label Posts ProfitNovember 26, 2010
Amy Winehouse’s record label has posted an impressive first year profit.
Lioness Records, which is supported by Island, made £44,000 in its first 12 months, reports The Sun. Winehouse set up the label last year as a platform to help launch the music career of her goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield. Meanwhile, the singer is currently recording her follow-up to 2006's 'Back To Black', due to be released next year. Winehouse has also announced plans to embark on a short tour in Brazil in January. The “one-off tour” will see the singer play a headline gig at the Arena in Rio de Janeiro on January 11. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Amy Winehouse Too Busy Working On New Album To Party (29.03.2011)
