Amy Winehouse 'Denied' Stevie Wonder Duet At Hard Rock CallingJune 28, 2010
Stevie Wonder denied Amy Winehouse the opportunity to perform with him at the Hard Rock Calling festival at the weekend, it’s been reported.
The veteran singer is understood to have invited Winehouse to join him on stage during his headline slot in London’s Hyde Park. But Wonder then reportedly changed his mind, preferring instead to perform alone. "Amy rocked up at the right-hand side and told the stage manager she had been invited to sing with Stevie,” a source told the Daily Star. “He put his foot down and told her that would not happen.” The source added: "Stevie had planned to duet with Corinne Bailey Rae and Jay Kay from Jamiroquai but he decided it would be better to give the fans the solo set they had expected to see." The festival also featured headline performances from Sir Paul McCartney and Pearl Jam. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Amy Winehouse Too Busy Working On New Album To Party (29.03.2011)
