Amy Winehouse Arrives In Court To Face Fan Assault ChargeJuly 23, 2009
Amy Winehouse has arrived in court in London to face a charge of assaulting a woman at a charity gig last September.
The singer, who has only recently returned from the Caribbean, was flanked by her father, Mitch, outside the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning. Winehouse has denied she reacted angrily after a female fan asked for her photograph to be taken with the singer at the End of Summer Ball in London last year. Winehouse had earlier performed at the event with her goddaughter, Dionne. The hearing at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court is expected to last two days. Meanwhile, a judge last week granted the singer and her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil a Decree Nisi.
