Amy Winehouse 'To Return Home To Save Marriage'February 26, 2009
Amy Winehouse is to return to the UK in a bid to save her marriage, it's been reported.
The singer, who has been on holiday in the Caribbean since December, is said to have decided to fly back to the UK following her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's release from prison. Fielder-Civil left Edmunds Hill prison in Suffolk yesterday morning (February 25th) after serving a 27-month sentence for assault and perverting the course of justice. The former TV runner began divorce proceedings against the star in January on the grounds of her alleged infidelity. However, Winehouse is reported to have vowed to return home next week to prevent the divorce from being finalised. “Hearing Blake was out brought lots of emotions back for Amy,” a source told The Sun newspaper. “She feels like she was the last to know he was getting released and that hurt. She is desperate to see him again and wants to work things out. She still loves him.” Fielder-Civil apparently confirmed that divorce proceedings were “all going ahead” as he left prison yesterday, but he expressed doubt as to what would happen. "It’s just nice to be on the outside again. Now I am going to get over my drug habit,” he reportedly added. As previously reported, Winehouse will play the Coachella festival in Los Angeles in April – her only confirmed performance of 2009.
