Amy Winehouse's London Home BurgledJanuary 30, 2009
Amy Winehouse's home in London was burgled yesterday (January 29th) while the singer was on holiday in the Caribbean.
Thieves are believed to have taken £15,000 worth of items, including a flat screen TV and five “irreplaceable” guitars. Police were called to Winehouse's Camden residence at 4am yesterday morning following reports of a break in at the property. Two men, who are believed to have smashed through a padlocked door, fled before police arrived at the scene. No arrests have been made. Winehouse's spokesman confirmed to Gigwise that a break in had taken place at the singer's house. Winehouse is expected to due to return for the island of St Lucia this weekend to begin recording her third album. A source told The Sun newspaper the singer was “devastated” about the burglary. “Some of the guitars are irreplaceable due to their sentimental value. The flat is in a real state. It had been cleaned up in preparation for her return. “Now she will have to start from scratch to replace what has been stolen.” (by Jason Gregory) See also: Amy Winehouse Too Busy Working On New Album To Party (29.03.2011)
