Amy Winehouse And Mark Ronson Reunite For Quincy Jones Tribute LPOctober 3, 2008
Amy Winehouse has reunited with producer Mark Ronson to record a song for a tribute album to Quincy Jones.
Winehouse and Ronson terminated their relationship earlier this year after sessions for a James Bond theme collapsed. But the pair are understood to have rekindled their working relationship and recording a song that one source has described as “explosive stuff”. "Amy first met Quincy backstage at the Nelson Mandela gig in Hyde Park in June,” the source told the Mirror newspaper. "He knew who she was and she was so thrilled to meet him. Her performance clearly impressed him - he was raving about her. This is just the opportunity she needs to show the world she has still got it." It's understood that the tribute album will also include tracks from Mariah Carey, John Mayer and Usher. White Stripes frontman Jack White and Alicia Keys were eventually put in charge with record the Bond theme. Winehouse's made her last public appearance at a charity ball in London last week. The singer performed a short set alongside her goddaughter, Dionne, for specially invited guests. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Razorlight, Mark Ronson For Shakedown Festival 2011 (12.04.2011)
