Amy Winehouse Leaving London To Start Country LifeSeptember 11, 2008
Amy Winehouse is understood to be days away from purchasing a new home in the country.
The singer is apparently interested in moving into a seven bedroom farmhouse in Suffolk, which includes three acres of land and stables. The £750,000 property also includes a barn which could be converted into a recording studio. “Amy has been looking for something in the area — and this particular place really is the ideal location,” a source told the Sun newspaper. “It is a really quiet, hidden spot where she would be away from the chaos of her life in London and could concentrate properly on getting her life back on track again.” Winehouse's father is, Mitch, is quoted as being in support of the move. “I hope she will be very happy there,” he said. “When Blake (Fielder-Civil, Winehouse's husband) comes out of prison the two of them are going to need somewhere to live together.” As previously reported, Winehouse ended her touring schedule for 2008 with a much criticised performance at Bestival last weekend. The singer is expected to spend the remainder of the year working on her as-yet-untitled third album. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Amy Winehouse Too Busy Working On New Album To Party (29.03.2011)
