Adele Says Sarah Palin Made Her CareerJanuary 11, 2011
Adele has attributed Republican politician Sarah Palin to helping her become a household name in America.
The singer appeared on the same episode of Saturday Night Live as the former Alaskan governor during the 2008 presidential election campaign. Palin was a guest on the programme after being spoofed by comedian Tina Fey. "Sarah Palin made my career by coming on that show," she said. "I saw the back of Sarah Palin, and I thought it was Tina Fey, and I f*cking love Tina Fey, and I was, 'Tina, Tina'. She didn't even acknowledge me, she was just completely oblivious. “Then Sarah Palin asked to come and meet me, and my gays were in the room, saying, 'If she comes in, I'm leaving'. She cornered me and said hello. And I had a massive Obama badge on my t*t." Adele's new album '21' is released later this month.
